In her entire little life, I have spent a grand total of 3 hours away from her. Not through planning -just worked out that way.

For the last 6 months, I have been explaining kinder to her, and how she will go by herself.

Last week, we had to go and fill out forms etc, so in we went. As we walked in the door, she turned, waved and said “Bye Mum”.

She was most put out I stayed for the whole time last week. She even managed to squeeze between the wall and the piano to try and avoid home time.

She has been repeatedly checking she will get to go by herself this week.

So much for my mental images of her crying and missing me.

  • lol that is so much easier than a screaming child, but does make it a bit hard on mum

  • Ha ha, that’s great! I guess it’s better than the alternative ☺ Although sometimes it’s nice to be wanted!

  • Isn’t it funny how kids react?

  • Next year, my turn to deal with my son in this situation hihi….

  • awwwww its strange how some kids take ot it so well and others cry their little heart out

  • Oh, I feel for you. I know that feeling too.

  • I think I will be the one crying and missing my little girl

  • Its a little stressful but its great that she is happy to go and it feels a lot worse when they cry to come home…

  • i hope all is well and things go great

  • Hope everything turns out well for you and her.

  • Gosh I cannot imagine my daughter like this soon…

  • Guess she is more ready than you, let her fly solo and nurture the times you are together – good luck!

    • It can sometimes be harder for us mums!
