Last year I was victim to a domestic violence attack which nearly cost me my life and my unborn son. My sons held hostage in a room for 14hrs. One year on I’m proud to say my boys sleep in their own rooms no fears, no more bad dreams, I am still abit haunted at night I have good nights and bad ones. I no longer look around when I go out and I recently started dating the perfect gentleman for the first time in so long I feel happy and safe, I filed for Divorce from my husband who to this day continues to breach the avo. I just want ladies to know its hard but life really does go on x

  • You are so amazing and inspirational for breaking away from this awful environment and being brave enough to speak up about it.

  • I am really glad the Govt is acknowledging more on DV which is too shocking and these are just cowards who continue to prey on the vulnerable . God Bless to you and the family :)

  • Thanks for sharing your story with us. I can’t even imagine how difficult your past must have been. I’m glad you are finally finding some happiness and that your kids are doing well too!!

  • Such a great story – very proud of you! Domestic Violence is like an invisible chain – and its very very hard to break away from. Truly wish you and your children a very happy and safe future.

  • Im so happy to know you have found the freedom for yourself and you kids… You deserve nothing other than true happiness in the future.Thank you for sharing your story to tell people who may be suffering in silence that there is a future after leaving..

  • Good for you. It is nice to hear of someone dealing positively with such huge issues. I hope it continues to be a success. I’m glad the children have come out ok too. Seems like you’re coping with the on-going ‘breaches’.. are you keeping a record of them just in case you need to take action over them?
