Hello!

i was visiting my adult niece the other day. It was a school, day yet her school age children were at home. They didn’t look sick, so I asked why they were home. It’s the governments fault apparently. They don’t pay my niece and her hubby enough (they’re both on Centrelink payments, no study and no jobs on the horizon) money to be able to buy enough food. There simply was no food to put in the kids lunch boxes and no money to buy more. It was a regular, fortnightly occurrence. She was telling me this as she finished smoking bongs, then sat down with a can of Jack Daniels pre mix and lit up,a cigarette. Hubby was on the couch with his can and ciggy playing the XBox. I was shocked! I gave them a serve and left. How could they be so selfish!?

  • How horrible. Please report them – for the children’s sake. They now doc centrelink payments if your kdis do not go to school.

  • there are too many parents exactly like this! A lot of welfare recipients totally abuse the system. I cannot believe how they get away with not looking for, jobs, not feeding their kids and not sending them to school. Yet the govt continues to pay them! How us that right?

  • Those poor children, there are ways of getting food when money is tight. But in saying that, those parents could easily go without some of those things. Goon on you for standing up for those kids and giving the parents a serve!! Sadly there are many parents out there like that.

    • yes i agree. good on you for trying to do something right by those little kids! a lot of people wouldn’t have said A THING!
