  • I did a similar thing. Until they got towards the end of primary school :/ Don’t be so embarrassing mum, seriously. So I stopped. They know my feelings haven’t changed though

  • this is a lovely idea. i will try to leave them notes. i have left them notes in their room (well the eldest anyway as my others are too little to read)

    • Although my parents never used to leave me notes I’d often get a lovely surprise small (or large) gift left in my room. As we lived so far out in the country they’d arrange for a friend to pick something up when we weren’t travelling in for our stores etc. So I definitely never expected those gifts when they turned up and always treasured them.

  • What a cute idea!
One thing I liked to do with my daughter is to put a little note in her lunchbox with one riddle. She had time to think about the answer till I picked her up. She loved it!
