Merry Christmas

I think it is so sad that hardly anyone says Merry Christmas anymore incase they offend someone. I was born and raised in Australia and this is our tradition. The people we may offend, chose to come to our country and should take on our traditions as well instead of trying to take it away from us. If they don’t like our customs, then WHY do they come here, Wouldn’t it be easier for them to go somewhere that has similar customs to their own. I personally believe our government should speak up and I will always say MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL

yep I agree … we grew up with christmas traditions and if you dont like the way US australians live .. then leave

I love it when people say Merry Christmas to us. It happens more often when we are out as a family but I think most people in our area are just shy, and sadly just keep to themselves… But I think we can try to be a good example… like the old gentleman who wished us a Merry Christmas in the atm queue today.

I was not born here and I totally agree that it is sad not to say it in case we offend someone. That is one of my cultural shock when I came here – what happened to being a country that allows freedom of speech?
Back home, we will wish each other and celebrate festivals such as Christmas, Dewali, Eid al-Fitr, Chinese New Year, etc together. I was also told that religion is NOT to be discussed?…

I say merry Christmas without giving a second thought, to be honest I wouldn’t have thought of this but now that I am I have to say I agree with you so on that note I wish you & your family a very merry Christmas 🙂
