My beautiful nanna - Real Mum story on MoM

4 weeks ago today my beautiful nanna passed away at 96.

What a life she lived.

It wasn’t until she moved into the nursing home and I visited her one day that I found out how interesting her life was.

When she was 8 her mum dad and 7 brothers and sisters passed away leaving just her.

This is when she went to live with her aunty on a farm who used her like a slave for 13 years.

I was shocked, I cant believe I didn’t know this neither did my mum .It goes to show what you can find out if you just ask.

My beautiful nanna kept this from us our whole life because no one ever asked her about her life.

We should all talk to our nannas and great nannas about their past because you never know what you’ll find out .

What a story to keep to yourself for all those years, how sad to think she lost her whole family at one time, you are lucky you got to have these chats with her

Hun I know how you are feeling love, I lost my beautiful mum last year to pancreatic cancer and the pain I feel is terrible but I know in my heart they are in God’s hands and they will be watching over us everyday hun x
