Hi all my daughter is now 2 years old and I am finding Huggies nappies are leaving her skin red raw like burns so I have tried a few other brands and she leaks most the cheap nappies make her skin all red as well I am trying to toilet train her but she is not fully ready yet she suffers from eczema and spent the first year of life allergic to milk proteins I really don’t know what to do because she needs to wear a nappy for now. I have just brought 2 boxes of nappies from nappies2u if anyone has any experiences with them?

  • Sorry can’t think of anything but I like the suggestion of terry towelling pants.

  • At two years of age, your little one may be better wearing the toweling pants. They are thick and you will only need a few to try. They can be easily soaked and laundered. My son had dreadful rash on his skin from the formula he had to have. He had allergies and the formula was great for him as he tolerated it but as soon as he wet he had to be changed immediately and sponged to avoid the skin reaction. I used a product called ALBA GREEN to protect his skin as well.
I find that disposable nappies delay toilet training, because the nappy is dry against their skin so they don’t always know they are wet. With the pants, they know and will be much easier to toilet train.

  • I used Huggies nappy too for my son but no issues with it. You can try Lansinoh for nappy rash.

  • I had the same issues with nearly all brands of nappies, until I went a size up from what she needed. The extra room stopped rashes, you just have to make sure done up snuggly to avoid leaks.

  • I find the BabyLove DriWave are the only nappies that keep my toddler son dry and rash free. BabyLove will send you a nappy to try if you apply on their website. They also have nappy pants.
