i think that i understand. the same top achievers that do well at everything and always get picked. things should be a little more fair and give more kids “roles” or turns.

Only thing I can suggest is to have a voting system in place. Get a few kids to put themselves forward for the position, ones that want to do it, and get the rest of the class to vote. It really is hard to see and I understand your frustration. We need to encourage all kids all the time

I haven’t experienced this, but I was told of a story recently relating to team selection in a sporting event, and it did seem to me that the children being selected had parents that were part of a clique etc, but again the same situation nobody says anything about it, and the poor boy who had the ability missed out. It’s okay to vent, we all get frustrated about unfair situations.

Maybe you should ask the school why other kids aren’t getting a chance for that experience. They may not have noticed.
