My family and i moved into a new house while ago. my daughter which is now 3 came running to me 1 day and said mum the kids and i thought she was playing a game but now i’ve realised that she comes to me often telling me that there are kids in the backyard and won’t go in the back yard by herself. Can anyone give me any advice on what’s going on if anyone gone through it i had this happen to them thank you

  • I think if it were me i would be just watching her when she is playing outside and just see how she plays and you never know it may just be some kids that she can hear.
    Hopefully you find out soon.

  • May be she has a great imagination but have you ever thought that maybe she does see kids ( a scary thought) I know but have a niece that used to say there was a man in her room after a visit to a physic my sil found out her grandad (deceased)was visiting

  • I would spend lots of in me in the garden playing with her and even plant some flowers to make it her own space, then she might feel more comfortable there. Good luck.

  • she could just be a little wary of the new house and diverting that anxiety into this story. did she know/want to move? does she like the house. did she pick her room or help unpack because she might not have much say about moving so this is a way of having some sort of control

    • i hope that it was all good and that she has settled in now.

  • I’ve asked her where are they and she pants to nothing, we have no kids living next to us on either side of us or behind us. Could be her imagination :-)

  • Yeah, best to have an honest conversation with her and get to the bottom of it. Ask her to point it out when/if it happens.

  • Maybe she’s imagining something sparked by a book or movie? Or maybe she’s hearing kids next door?
