Hello!

I have tried many different medications, nasal sprays and other methods for managing hayfever and allergies. The symptoms and pain are the worst they have ever been and I need some relief. It has started to impact on activities, sleep and energy levels. Any suggestions most welcome and needed.

  • I am in the same boat. I struggle with hayfever and allergies all year round. It sucks. Hope you have found something that is giving you some relief.

  • I remembered a work colleague told me the best remedy is to go to a naturopath and they will make up a remedy just for you . Just puts drops on her tongue ans swears nothing else works for her . Sometimes the meds at the chemist just does not work and you may need to try natural alternatives. Good luck.

  • I just read you have seen a Dr and pharmasist. I hope they sort it out for you soon

    • Temporary relief – but it is time for the ENT.

  • I agree with the earlier post that there may something that you are eating or something around you that is contributing.

  • It is so hard isn’t it? I have found the nasal spray the best (prescribed by GP) with additional medication when I need it.

  • Get your GP to refer you o an ENT.

  • Seeking advice from a Dr, naturopath or pharmacist will hopefully guide you to a remedy that is better for you. Have any home environmental things changed (soaps/washing powders etc)?

    • Thanks for your advice – I have eliminated and am still eliminating certain products that may be causing me grief. It is a long and lengthy process.

  • All I can suggest is going into a chemist and asking to talk to the pharmisist, I have found they are better at helping you choose one that is better suited to your needs. There are many over the counter medicines that you can buy as you know. For me it took two visits.. to get the right one. and also use a wet warm face washer held over the nose when im not able to have a shower to get the nose pain to ease for a short period of time.. Goodluck

    • I have discussed this again with the pharmacist and I am on a new regime of medications and hopefully this will help. Thanks for your suggestions.
