Hello!

So it’s that time of year when I think “PREPARE FOR BUSHFIRE” and one of the things I’ve always meant to do is get a scanned copy of important documents. The folder happens to include everything from birth certificates and marriage certificates, to qualifications and then all sorts of other miscellaneous fun run awards and certificates. They all bring back memories for me. I’ve been meaning to do it for years but have always put it off. This year the kids are “old enough” to do it (they have probably been more able than me for a long time but I had the idea of giving them the task of scanning everything for some pocket money) and in the process I realized that lots of memories were shared. Things that we might not have brought up otherwise. “Did you do that?” as well as other comments. So an interesting way of sharing your passed – if you are so inclined!

  • I so need to do this too. Although all my important documents are in the one place, easy to find in an emergency

  • It looks absolutely important indeed. I’ve never done that. It’s surely time-consuming, but worth it! Thanks for the tip!!

    • It can be less time consuming and tedious if you can make it a fun activity.
