Less than a year ago , I went to DFO and bought a leather wallet for 70% off . A great ladies wallet and used it everyday . However last week I noticed the threads were coming off so luckily rang the sales person and they said it was still under warranty . I went to the store and they ended up taking a pic of the damaged wallet and now have to wait 2 weeks for HO to approve it ! . So is that what you get for buying an exclusive brand rather than replacing it for me . It took me 3 trains and a bus to get there and now have to go back . I said isn’t it a bit much for just a wallet and they said they do checks to make sure it was legit !! I AM a bit put off now GEEZ

  • Hahahaha! I guess it’s good you’re getting it replaced, not do good what you gave to go through to achieve this. Most people would have simply thrown it out and bought a new one

  • I love Oroton and have always been really happy with the quality and durability of their products. I even have some vintage pieces from the 70’s that were my Mum’s and they are in great condition despite being well used. I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

  • Just wondering of the outcome to this? Did they replace it?

    • They didn’t bother ringing me back and she already gave me a hint before it was past warranty . This will be the last time I will purchase this brand as not happy with customer service at all .

  • HI there
For those who are familiar with their products , can I ask if you have purchased one of their leather ladieswallets how long does it last before you see signs of wear and tear. In my case , the thread lining ( seams )started to fall apart and I only purchased this last year Jan 2015 . It is currently being assessed but they said because it is out of the year warranty , it may not be covered. I am now disappointed if this will be the outcome as I have had cheap wallets that lasted longer. I have been using it everyday so is this normal ??.. Thanks again ..

  • Thank You :) Fingers crossed in two weeks .

  • I love Oroton and usually don’t have a problem with their quality or service. I had an issue with a phone case I purchased on sale and online and they were happy for me to take it into a store for a replacement. Perhaps you should speak to their customer service dept.

  • Good luck l hope they replace it or get you a new wallet!

  • That’s a pity indeed for all the time lost traveling! I hope they will replace it for you!

  • I think it’s great it’s still under warranty

  • At least they didn’t dismiss you out of hand.

  • Good luck and I hope it goes well with getting a new wallet. Some places are better than others in replacing goods.

    • Maybe some products are harder to assess for faults vs reasonable wear and tear.

      • Good point and all companies have different policies on returns and warranties.

  • Unfortunately, thats how warranty works – replacement is not automatic.
