Having three children under two was really hard .
Melissa then twins Mathew and Martin .
Mathew and Martin are the best of mates been identical twins .
The boys start high school and Martin starts to lose a lot of weight ..
wow what the hell is going on . after talking to my parents that our family doctor was not helping
Dad said take him back to our Doctor at Mt Druit Tony Barrett ..
so I did .. the first thing he was asked was he doing drugs . No said Martin ..well we will know . Then he picks up the phone and calls his mate . dr Hillmer . I know you do not normally see teens but I have know this family for years something is very wrong ..
Okay I want you to take the boys here now he is seeing you today ..
That was on the Monday ,, we seen Dr Helmer Martin was booked in to hospital the Thursday at Liverpool private .. . Buy lunch time Thursday we knew .. Martin had Crohns . Wow ..
Never ever heard of it …
Martin starts medication . Finishes school doing his HSC
Works full time working doing repairs on hosits wheelchairs ramps etc . Helping people with disabilities.
Working long hours ..
He is also a career as a second job .
But his love is volunteering with rural fire .
Martin just got back from Tingal up north he got home Sunday .
They took the truck up on Monday but needed to leave it for the next crew .
So theybwhere coached back to Sydney ..
I said how was it ..
He said it’s one of the worst he seen . For every ten homes they saved they lost one .
The devastation on men and woman’s faces you never ever get over it ..
We did what we could ,but mum I feel it was not enough ..
I said to him .martin how many homes would of been lost . He said hundreds I said you can only do so much ..
then he says on a lite not mum ,we went to this property and the shed was on fire ..
The man was running around with a garden hose ..
I asked him what was in it . Hearing ping ping ping.. explovises and bullets .. As I yell move their was a huge explosive nosie .. wow . A bit of shed here a bit there men running in all directions ..
Yeah lucky not one of us hurt .. the guy goes wow wasn,t expecting that ..
All I could say was get back leave it alone. I am calling The hazmat.
A few days we feed our selfs because someone forgot we were there .
But our job was to save lives and property..
Live stock ..
We are very proud of our son. He truly has turned out to be amazing man.
Next week he has his infusion for his Crohns .
Nothing stops him doing what he loves .
And his mates all look out for each other .
So to the men and woman out their helping we as parents are proud of you.
