Does anyone have any remedy for getting rid of the strong smell of gloss wood paint? I am in the process of having all doors and skirting painted and day 1 the smell is really overpowering and giving me a headache!
Does anyone know any tips apart from keeping doors and windows open how can I get rid of the smell quickly?

  • Bioworld neutralizer. You can order this online but its expensive. Here’s a tip -add 1 teaspoon of Peppermint oil per 1 gallon of paint. It is clear so it can be used in even cream or white tones. This should help stop the odor while painting it on the walls.

  • My dad always taught us to put a bucket of water in the room and put all windows up to air. I love the smell

  • If you have carpet on the floors sprinkle with bicarbonate soda. Leave overnight and vacuum in the morning. Bucket of water in room draw the smell out. Change water over daily.
