Yep, my parents did the best they could but there are definitely things I don’t do.

Well done! I can only imagine the difficulty in doing something against what you have learnt growing up.

Well done . I wouldn’t copy my parents as they had no one to teach them as they came from a very poverty strickened country and there was nil or low education in those times and generation . Good you chose your own way of doing things and you wouldn’t do it if you think it wasn’t right .

Absolutely. I am exactly like you. I learned from all the mistakes my parents made with me.

  Glad to hear that you have a different style too. Initially I was criticised, but now receive praise, not that I want or need it in anyway. We parent the way we want too, in a manner which nurtures and encourages and builds confidence.
