It is not very often I do this, but if it has been raining for several days, and I have some money, I will take my little girl to the local indoor play centre – Rare bears

Lovely place, and lovely people – she has an absolute ball there. Only problem is I have to spend the next three weeks saying sorry, no, to demands to go back!

Last week I had a bit of spare cash, so I took her there. The whole time we were there she kept saying “daddy play? Daddy play too?”

So I thought we would take her there on the weekend. Now he was on call last weekend, but the previous three weeks the other blokes had said not a single job had come in, so we decided to risk it.

We got there, we paid for her (parents are free!) and the phone went…

Now his boss does not allow the guys to use the vans other than for work, so we all had to go home. The nice girl behind the counter had overheard what had happened, and refunded the money before we could even ask.

Little one did not go into a screaming temper -but her lower lip quivered and tears welled up, and she would not talk to either of us -talk about a guilt trip!

It took a pack of smarties from Dad before he was forgiven!

Anyway, we thought we would try again Sunday, and this time we were lucky -she dragged Daddy all over the place!

We got home – she bounced of walls in sheer excitement, and he crashed out!
