Hello!

I experienced postnatal depression with my first child, a daughter. It was from all the pressure to do this and do it that way and everyone’s negative input on how to look after my precious little bundle of joy. This was meant to be such a happy and fulfilling time in my life. Although a lot of it was stressful, tiring and very depressing. This experience and feelings of postnatal depression continued for well over a year. I know I did overcome this difficult time in my life and I truly believe it was my beautiful baby girl who got me throughout. Let’s not be too hard on ourselves as new mothers.

  • I am so glad you were able to overcome this very serious condition. I think it is very empowering that women feel they can talk about PND as in the past it really was something that no one talked about.

  • So glad you pulled through. Its a dark and rough road to be on – unless you have been there, its hard to comprehend how debilitating it is. Enjoy the future with your loving family.

    • Thankyou and yes I am enjoying my family now.
