It is definitely not your fault. Your husband can get depressions thru something else such as work or personal reason etc. It is sad to find out that happened to your husband. The main thing right now is your support for him to go thru this difficult time and hopefully can lift him up back to where he was. It will be a good idea for your husband to see a good counsellor.
Don’t blame yourself. He needs you to listen to him when he needs someone to talk to. He needs you to lift his spirit up again. He needs you to take care of your son when he can’t do his part for him.
Be strong!!! Sometime you didn’t realize that you can be a very strong person but You Are.
I hope that your husband can recover from his depression.
