Hello!

I enjoyed playing arcade games when I was younger and the games seemed to be simple and definitely not violent. The games were silly and fun and good when played in moderation. I am happy about retro games being sold for a new generation of kids and adults. I have played some of these games with the little kids and big kids and grownups too. Playing time is limited and balanced with other activities. We have had a terrific and fun time playing games together. Pacman and Sonic the Hedgehog are two favourite games and no one gets bored with these fun games.

  • yeah i am a collector and i love the retro games. the little kids find it easier to play and plus there is no chance that they will get onto the internet and accidently purchase things! They are simple but hey the kids don’t mind!

  • heck yeah! these things are still so expensive to buy on ebay but the parts are cheap. if you are so inclined, you buy a broken one and fix it up for real cheap.

  • Me too! I actually bought my son a set of those old retro games. He and his friends could be found choosing to play these over the PlayStation and XBox games. I think he was so interested in them because I could do better then him, so he kept playing until that was reversed

  • My 5 year old son plays his father’s old super Nintendo and he loves it even though he has a playstation.

  • I love retro games. I can’t remember what exactly it’s called, I think it might be Space Invader? The one where you used to go side to side and dodge everything falling out of space. I also used to love Prince of Persia, although that probably does contain a bit of violence. Nothing like a good old fashioned pinball machine though.’

  • A friend of mine has an arcade game player, we spent a morning playing games the other day and it was so much fun, plenty of laughter.

  • Absolutely true. I think the games designers have got carried away simply because you CAN design more complex games these days,

    • Exactly! Complex is not necessarily better!

  • Same! It’s good that games are more life like now, but does there really need to be so much violence?

    • Yep! I do not like or enjoy violent games. Where is the fun?
