Retro-Vinyl Records

I love the Retro movement and that everything old is ‘cool’again. I was watching a segment on TV and the topic was the resurgence of vinyl records and how they are now popular again. I have fond memories of saving up for vinyl records and going into the record store after school and flicking through row after row of vinyls. I have always listened to my vinyl records and love the record covers. The artwork and stories on the front and inside covers are extraordinary. Record covers used to be a great way of advertising a record and some of the art work is exceptional. I have way too many favourite vinyls records and ‘Kick’ by INXS was played again and again at parties during my younger years. Do other Mom’s still have vinyl records and do they have a favourite vinyl record?

I love all the old vinyl records though l sold my collection when moving interstate,though we still have a few classic albums that we love!

I have an old milk crate or 2 full of vinyl records, mostly The Rolling Stones. I thought they would increase with value as they aged, but that’s not to be 🙁

I have milk crates full of vinyl. My record player broke a couple of months ago so they don’t get played at all. I played them all the time back in the day tho. I hope they’re not getting damaged in storage, I have a lot of collectables 🙂

I still have my vinyl ( although some are a little worse for wear) my favourite is the first ever Beatles album. It was my mums and the first vinyl she ever bought.

I still have mine and my teen daughter is collecting now. She was thrilled to find 5 albums for $5 at our local op shop the other day and has increased her collection in one inexpensive hit.

Oh yeah, I’ve hung on to all my vinyls. Haven’t listened to them for years, though.

  Maybe you need to have a Retro party! 😉 I put them on and give them a spin when doing the housework-I get a workout and the housework gets done quickly! 🙂
