People often question the value of rewards programs, I recently decided to login to my flybuys account to take a look at how the whole points system works, I am always scanning my Flybuys card at various local businesses and had accumulated quire a healthy balance if points. After scanning through the impressive catalogue of rewards available from gift cards, an array of electrical goods, clothing the list is endless! My sons Tablet had recently become damaged the latest victim of a 5 year old brothers tantrum, so when I discovered the prefect replacement Tablet in the Flybuys catalogue,I immediately filled out the required information and awaited delivery. I must be honest I was a bit apprehensive about this being to good to be true, must be strings attached somewhere, so to avoid any disappointment in my sons behalf I kept the impending delivery to myself.
To my suprise yesterday as we arrived home from picking the boys up from school the parcel post delivery van pulled in our driveway, after signing for the parcel we set about opening the box to Tyrone’s delight there was a spanking new Tablet, so apart from my WiFi usage doubling all great! Can’t say enough good things about Flybuys highly recommend getting one and collecting points to everyone well worth the effort, its free to join and you collect points just by spending money in everyday items buying groceries petrol etc! Big thumbs up!

  • I use flybuys whenever it is handy . but I don’t push myself as lost a lot of points in the past when they had expiry dates. I shop at Coles /Woolies so it comes in handy at the time .

  • Perfect timing for Christmas. Flybuys is great. It’s a shame Woolworths have changed their rewards program as it is very disappointing now.

  • I love my flybuys, I scan the brochures but never buy anything I would not normally buy, I still shop for specials at Woolies etc, but I make the most of my flybuys, only problem is that it is in my hubbies name as he had it first as I never lived near a coles, I have several hundred dollars stored on it at the moment and mentioned it to him the other day, he keeps joking with me that he may redeem them one day when I am not home, LOL as if he would be able to use the computer, but it is amazing how quickly they add up if u use the bonuses.

  • Thanks for sharing. I always figure that as long as I’m not changing my spending habits in order to accumulate points then the programs are an awesome bonus

  • I always use my FlyBuys card, and if there’s nothing in their catalogue that I want to redeem my points for, I redeem for cash off my next grocery shop. Every little bit helps.

  • I always keep my flybys and everyday rewards savers cards in my purse at all time. I also find them handy when I spend a certain amount and get $10 off or something I love collecting points for plane fares

  • I must be the only person in Australia that doesn’t have Flybuys. I looked into it a few years ago, read the complaints and reviews and decided not to bother. I expect over the years I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars just buying groceries, probably enough points to redeem for a kettle lol!

Perhaps I might look into it again:-)

  • Awesome. I had a similar experience I had entered a comp. on FB and was chosen as a winner I got an email saying I needed to provide info. Only my partner and I were privy to this info. It was very close to my 50th birthday, so the parcel arrived, my son and his gf and their friends eyes popped out if their heads when I opened up an iPad, all the questions started. LOL.

    • that would’ve been a great win! hope you love it!
