We’ve probably all heard about school mums who don’t concentrate when dropping off/picking up their little ones to or from kinder or school, but I’ve seen some really questionable drivers lately and not all of them were mums.

There was the father who started getting fired up because he didn’t think I’d left him enough room to pull out of his spot, even though I was kind enough to politely ask him if he’d like me to move my car after seeing his glaring look at me. No thank you or anything. Just agro because he had a new (second-hand) car and wanted a car length of space in front of it. Then there was the father who was leaving with child in the back and was turning round yelling at his son while turning a corner, he then put his foot down and swerved around like he was going to hit another car or a tree! Don’t get me wrong, there have been the distracted mothers who pull out without looking too!

Last night was awful too. I had a friend’s child in the car as well as my two and was travelling safely down a local street. I needed to turn left at the end of the street but had to pull out to the right to pass a parked car just before then. I was pulling back into the left and breaking to come to a stop and check for traffic when an older man with a courier sign on his ute came hurtling round the corner into the street, breaked and abused me with the children seeing it. Have any other mums experienced all this road rage/stupidity?
