The first time I was away from my baby was when she was 8 months old. I had to go complete a course I was doing so I was away from her for 2 hours. She was with her Dad so I wasn’t worried about who was taking care of her, but I was sad being away from her.
The second time I was away from her she was 18 months. I had to go do some christmas shopping, so I put her to bed waited till she went to sleep and left her at home under the care of her dad again. I was only gone for an hour and a half. When I arrived at the shops I opened the door where her car seat is to get her out and had a little sob that she wasnt there.
Aside from that she hasn’t been away from me. She has never been babysat or been in the care of family, and never had a sleepover with her grandparents.
I know when the day comes that she has to spend a few hours away from me I will be an absolute mess and will probably pick her up earlier than planned.
