Today it has really it hit me that my relationship of 9 years has fallen apart we seperated nearly one month ago now and he left to go spend a couple of nights at his mums house who im possitive has talked him out of coming hom as she has never liked us being together and has always told my ex that his life would be better with out me well anyway he told me afer a days of being there that he was leving me so now im all alone with the kids and think i have been on auto pilot for that whole time and all but now he is taking all the kids away to his house (his mums) for the wekend so its my first time being alone since it happened and now ive been thinking all day and cant stop why does this all have to be so hard im sorry to write this all here but i have no one else i can talk to as everyone seems to
think i am doing so well and i dont want to prove to those who have there doubts that im not doing ok its also hard as my 19yo has never been away from me for even one night as i just never really went anywhere or did anything that made him have to ever go away for the whole night and we would pick him up on the wy home if we ever went out as a big family im sure this is all over the place this post but i just had to get it out and i thought what better then this new site that im finding heaps of ideas and stuff from which this past week has really been a life saver also with moving house too its so full on its not funny but now we are settld in a smaller home and have less rent to worry about which is much better on my small income im jut hoping centrelink will hurry up with the single parent payment i dont usually have to deal with them so much so have a small insite into why people relly dont like them lol anyway knowing im about to press send has really lifted my spirits like as though im getting it off my chest i am just sorry you had to read it all thank you if you have

  • I’m sorry for what your going through sweets. It’s going to be a long tough road, but I can assure you that you will come out of this better than ever (speaking from experience) I too used to pour my heart out – similar to this, and it’s amazing on the power that has to start to lift a weight off your shoulder. If you ever feel down, or realisation hits for something or other, write it down. One day, you’ll look back and remember how that felt, but love that it no longer affects you x

  • Sorry to hear what you are going through, why don’t you open up to those that you said think you are doing so well …it might help, wishing you all the best.

  • many sympathies, you do need to be able to talk to someone, even the doctor or ask to speak to a therapist just to help you find your feet, you are going through a terribly difficult time and it can be so overwhelming, but just keep going and be strong, to the best of your ability even when you dont feel it. have you ever read the power of positive thinking, it has many tips for all different kinds of situations, and I found a lot of help in it.

    all the best.

  • Im so sorry you are going through this. I think the intial reaction is always shock (auto pilot)
How you must be feeling I don;t know but I hope things get better for you.
I believe everything happens for a reason, most of the time we never find out what reason but its always to put something better in its place. If you are meant to be together it will happen, if not then it wont. I hope that doesnt sound harsh. Sending hugs

  • So sorry for what you are going through. Sometimes these things happen and turn out for the better. Just keep your chin up and keep busy. He may even change his mind but don’t let him think your torn up, let him see what he is missing out on. I suggest a lot of girls night in or out to keep your mind off things and to cheer you up.

  • I know exactly how you feel as i felt as tho my life had been turned upside down when my ex husband walked out and left me with 3 kids, but you know what i never gave up and told myself that i can do anything i put my mind to, and to never ever let him see me when im down and feeling like i cant cope when i knew i could.
Things will get better for and in time you may even find that perfect man as i did and have now been married for 10 years.
Good luck i really hope everything works out for you xx

  • It sounds like you’ve got a lot going on at the moment so I’m not surprised that you’re feeling this way. I can’t claim to know what you’re going through but I just wanted to say that I hope you’re doing okay and that things get better with each day.
    Take care x

  • Tough times. Perhaps suggest to your ex that the little one stays with him for the day, but comes home at night. Still so little to be away from his mummy. Be strong and don’t be afraid to ask for help – you are only human and by asking for help it makes those tough times a little more manageable.
