I think this should be investigated. I’m surprised the GP hasn’t recommended dietry changes (more fibre and water etc.) for constipation; and if the problem has persisted that they aren’t looking into more serious conditions/ food allergies/IBS/ Chrons disease etc. that have symptoms of ‘just’ indigestion etc. Also has the boy swallowed anything odd like a battery that might do harm? If it is a virus/bacteria a blood test might be useful. Definitely don’t just ignore!

Yes, it’s definitely prudent to get another opinion.

Usually if its a sore tummy it goes away before a few days pass. If its constipation when my kids had it i found they stained their underpants a lot.. Doctors can usually tell by felling there tummy so i am surprised they havent done this.. My kids had to go on a stool softner to help them pass there poos… But if worried get further advise from a specialist…

I think you are absolutely right! If the GPs haven’t been able to relieve your child’s symptoms, you need it to investigate it further. Your child’s health is the most important thing!
