starting a garden - Real Mum story on MoM

I have always wanted a vegetable garden, and since moving this year, I have been given the opportunity to have both a vegetable garden and a flower garden.

moving into a house and not a unit, has made the world of difference to me. I have big plans for the back yard, and very soon will be putting in 4 vegetable plots, to go with the fruit trees, and will be transforming the front garden into a bed of flowers and colour, with a small fairy garden dedicated to my father who passed from Cancer. I have plans to make a cobble stone and mark his name in it, so if I move I can take it with me.

I cannot wait to start getting dirt under my nails, and making things from what I have harvested. and hope that I can harvest enough to donate to my local welfare agency to help others in need

Wow, sounds like it will be awesome! You’ve put a lot of thought into the planning. Good luck with your veggies, nothing better then homegrown produce

The single best thing we had at our last house was our veggie garden. I miss it soo much – the kids would pick and eat everything straight out of the garden.

Sounds wonderful & an even lovelier idea having a garden in memory of your dad, my dad also passed away from cancer. We are in a unit with only a courtyard &’have grown herbs, one day I can see us having a vegetable garden

Hope you have a wonderful time in the garden. I too love spending time in the garden and am currently happily planning a new little area in our front yard for something fragrant like a gardenia.
