Hello!

I love love love my kids, but I have to admit it’s really nice to do something for myself and also for my family by studying. I’m studying my diploma of children services so that when my kids are in school I can rejoin the workforce as well as keep my skills up and my mind busy. My 2 and a half yr old little girl is in daycare on Tuesday so I can bond with my 51/2 month old and to study. Although I confess I mostly clean and enjoy his company at this stage. When I occasionally work for my in-laws I study all day and enjoy the challenge it gives me. It can be hard to balance study and life with two young children and I’m still adjusting but I’m sure I’ll get there :)

  • If you can manage to do your studying and assignments at night while your children are asleep it will help. However you need to get enough sleep too.

  • You will get there. I am studying the Bachelor of Education (Primary) and although I have taken 12 months off I usually work 2 days a week. Assignment time is usually hectic but I feel so good when I submit it and even better when I pass. I congratulate any parent who tackles work, study or both as it is a challenge, rewarding and worth it but sometimes tough. Good luck I am sure you will do well.
