Hello!

My daughter is nearly two and hasn’t started talking yet. It hasn’t been a worry as she does make sounds but just hasn’t said any words. We recently got a puppy and she loves to play with her (sharp puppy teeth and all!). I’ve noticed in the two weeks since we’ve had the puppy that my daughter is babbling away a lot more than usual. Only yesterday she waved and said ‘bye’ to my parents when they were leaving. I’ve noticed that she sits for a long time and chats (babble) to the puppy and I think this has really help her to start to develop some language skills. They are so cute together and I think that being a dog owner will help teach her other valuable skills too.

  • so so true animals help kids and adults more than we could understand. our nephew is almost 2 and he doesnt talk much either but we believe that it is because his mother speaks Chinese and father speaks English so he is still trying to learn the difference

  • pets do wanders for children they give them a friend and they learn that they will love them and follow them so now would be the time to get your child to help you with feeding the pup and changing it’s water and it teaches kids so much
