Katelt and Addylou thank you so much girls :) You have made me feel so much better, Thankyou :) Reading your responses I realise you are so correct, one of my friends goes to mothers group and her child is always left with the grandparent while she goes out with them or away for the weekend. I can neither afford to do that and nor do I want to. I do take my son to the park, playground, indoor play gyms, swimming with his cousins (who range in age from 16 months to 15 years and the older ones adore him and play with him), friends come and take him out for me and I also have a group of mums who I’m really good friends with and we catch up for coffee all the time, it’s just that my 14 month old is by far the youngest and their children are all in school. He also goes to daycare 2 days a week while I’m at work and so I guess he’ll make friends there and be ok. I just don’t want to do the wrong thing by him though.

Katelt that mums group in your area sounds awful :( I think maybe I’m better off. Thanx heaps girls for making me feel so much better xxx

  • So good to read of a mum benefitting from the MoMs web page. There’s lots of great advice and information here. Great to read of someone it’s helped

  • Mothers put too much pressure on themselves, have too many guilt trips. When it comes down to it, we all do what we think is best best for our children at the time. You can’t ask for more than that

  • i wonder if those ladies saw this. i have sen katit’s comments around

  • nice and exellent to read the story

  • How nice of you to come back in and make a thank you post.

    • I like seeing a follow up or a response.
