I have just watched the Iron Lady a story of Maggie Thatcher played by Meryl Streep and I really enjoyed it. It was very sad as it was Maggie’s life shown through the eyes of her with her memory failing and having flash backs of the important events in her life. Predominately her career as Prime Minister of Great Britain. It gives you a better understanding of what people are going through and how they are thinking when they suffer from memory loss. I am not sure if this is really how people see things when this happens to them, but they did a very good job in portraying what it would be like.

  • I’ve also seen this movie. Meryl is a star, as usual! Magpie did gave a bit of a sad life, even tho it was one of relative luxury

  • Haven’t seen the movie but have worked with people with memory loss. Whilst a lot of the time they are unaware of the problem when they are, they suffer a lot of confusion and distress. It’s also stressful the families involved.
