It was late at night at I had forgotten to buy something so I off I headed and went down to the supermarket and brought what I needed. When I got home, stopped the car and this very huge spider crawled onto my windscreen, I froze for a second as I thought it may have been on the inside but lucky enough it was on the outside. As I went to open my door it ran down onto it, I was stuck if I get out then It may jump on me so I ended up having to climb to the other side of the car and jump out and boy that is getting harder to do every year lol. I ran inside and grabbed the spray to kill it as I new the next time I would see it that it may be waiting on the inside. I don’t mind spiders that much but when they are big thick legged, thick bodied and fury it gives me the creepy crawlies.

  • You’re braver than me!! I would have let an insect bomb off in the car and had the house re-done also just in case!! Reminds me, I need to book the bug man today :-)

  • I hate finding a spider in the car! We had one that was living in the side mirrors for ages.

  • I had to laugh at your story, I would have been terrified also, I would have been tempted to phone my husband to some and get the spider before I got out of the car. lol.

  • Lol I’ve done that plenty of times for much smaller spiders. I used to have to park my car under a tree and if I had to go somewhere before my husband could wave his arms around to get rid of the cobwebs, I’d climb over the passenger seat. I’m also pretty sure I wouldn’t have run inside for spray, I would’ve stayed in the car and called my husband to get it or gotten out and thrown something at it lol.

  • When i first moved here from England 7 years ago i was terrified of spiders and hated seeing them inside the house and would check every piece of clothing or shoes before i put them on, now they don’t bother me as much and don’t feel the need to run away or kill them now.
