Hello!

On the weekend we were chatting with some elderly people that were rather sad about not being able to watch the latest movies. Videos stores have closed down and they have limited mobility and access to their local library to loan DVDs. We were saddened and now we are going to take DVDs to them to watch as no one should miss out on watching the latest movies.

  • If they live in a community such as a retirement village with a room or hall they meet in maybe a volunteer could be authorised to collect DVDs from the council on their behalf….or the local council may have a bus driven by a volunteer that could take them to a cinema, perhaps on cheap Tuesdays, then home again. They may even have a room in the council chambers where they could watch movies as a group.

  • What a great idea and so nice of you. We have Internet and can see a lot of movies on things like Stan, Netflix and Amazon etc Maybe they could consider this? I think it’s only $15 a month for Stan, but understand that’s out of some people’s income limit

    • Good idea MoM81879 – We might bring this up in a discussion. Thanks :)
