Hello!

It was the morning of my due date and i was very anxious that i was going to go over my due date by 10 days like i had with my first son. I was not keen on the idea so much that i started to think of ways to give my baby some encouragement to make his appearance so i mowed our whole yard. My partner was beside himself, doing anything to restrain himself from going outside to stop me. By lunchtime i was convinced that it had done nothing but give me a headache and wear me out and give me a craving for potato scallops.

So after that i decided if he isn’t going to come today i may as well treat myself to the scallops while i can, so off to the shops we went.

While waiting for my order i decided to go to the fruit shop next door and while i was walking around i realised my pants felt wet, thinking my bladder had a weak moment i rushed back to the car got my partner to get the order and went straight home. Feeling a little embarrassed I didn’t say anything to my partner and changed the minute i got home, but by the time i walked out to our patio to have our lunch i was wet again and this time my partner knew something wasn’t right with me.

We spent the next 10 minutes debating if my waters had broken or not, he was convinced but i wasn’t. To make a long story short my waters had broke and i gave birth to our beautiful son the next morning. One day over wasn’t to bad as he was born on my uncle’s birthday who sadly passed away when he was only four months old. I guess the mowing worked after all.

  • A friend of mine was overdue. Another friend was saying the baby was in no hurry – and somehow knew how cold it was and was staying in the warm. We had a burst of cold very frosty weather for about a week. When he was born his skin was very red and dry. The skin on his hands was peeling. The Dr. was seriously considering induction two days later.

  • I don’t know why mums stress so much about being overdue with their babies. Your Dr will let you know if it’s causing a problem. Just let Mother Nature take its course, bub will come when bub is ready

  • yes it worked! i had a friend who thought that she kept wetting herself. she had twins and would laugh or cough and wee a little. She went for a few days thinking that she was constantly weeing a little but told her middie and her waters had broken.
