Yes these two boys love lawn bowls. We as a whole family started off doing social bowls on a thirsday night. It was a cheap night for a family and great for hot nights as the kids dont sleep easy then. The boys find it a natural thing to do. Yes they like footy and other things too but they interact with all ages. The clubs are kid friendly, and give out good feeds. We also have two aunts and a uncle who play at elite levels. Most of the family play in first division. Its a form of time out too. Their mums and dad also play. The dad to one is a club champion just like an aunt at early ages. The bowls sa managers started off a lawn bowls challenge to promote the sport for younger ages. So both young boys practise their delivery and pretend to bowl at the local plaza. Showing off their skills. People love them. The more notice they get the more they pretend. Who says its a sport for older people. Its fun.

lawn bowls is a good activity. The club always has nice oldies and they love to see young ones in there.

Lawn bowls has been promoted as a sport for younger kids for a while. It hasn’t taken off like footy, but certainly gets more attention than 20 years ago.

I know quite a few younger people who play – though none quite as young as your boys.

Love lawn bowls as they are heaps of fun and great for all ages. I have had a ball playing lawn bowls.
