Hello!

Last night I went to a wedding of two friends, and it was great. It made me think of how quickly the night goes but how much time and money are spent going in to them! I wonder how the whole big reception thing started where everything is so over the top and wonderful, as opposed to just a small BBQ with your family. I also wonder how bridesmaids and groomsmen came to be as well.

I’ve been married for nearly three years and I had a beautiful big wedding that cost nearly $20000 including my honeymoon. I know I could buy heaps of things with that money nowwp we own a home but I don’t regret it for a minute. It was the only time in my life I could feel and act like a princess!

  • This day and age it can be as lavish or as low keyed as you want.

  • We made a choice when we were planning or wedding, either buy a house or have a huge wedding and honeymoon. Well we chose the house, no regrets. We had a fabulous wedding with about 60 guests on a budget, and it worked out really well. We went to my friends wedding – she is italian. I could not believe it, 400 hundred guests, gifts for all the guests, it was a wedding that I never forgot. But definitely not something I would have wanted, I like things a bit low key.

  • I love weddings! We had a cheapish one and I loved every moment! I love witnessing a couple comitting themselves to each other for life and the excitement of a possible family with kiddies forming! It’s the best occasion really!
