Hello!

My 8 month daughter has been coming down with gastroenteritis. For the entire week, she was having very high fever, lots of diarrhea, vomiting and crying. She used to be a very happy baby and now she cries and screams just about everything. I am terrified that her personality has changed. I talked to my friends, relatives, colleagues, neighbours about it and they all rolled their eyes because they think I am being too paranoid. Maybe I am. I hope I am.

Then there is my husband. He comforted me and told me that she will be fine. I was so upset and cranky when my daughter screamed in the middle of the night for the 8th time but hubby hugged me and wouldn’t let me get off until I stopped struggling. Filled with anger, I told him to let go because i need to get to our daughter. He said the more I struggled, the tighter his hugs will be. I calmed down, we both attended to our girl and he sang to her…

  • So beautiful. Sounds as though you have chosen wisely, he obviously feels the same way from what I read. May your love continue to grow & you receive many more tight holds, there’s nothing like it. :)

  • you’ve a very loving husband and father to your LO! Cherish every moment!
I empathise in having to wake in the middle of the night. Mine would cry for an hour, and I meant real loud cry. We woke LO up before the crying times and that helped tremendously. It will be a phase that your lovely daughter goes through and I bet she’ll be back her happy self again soon. :)

  • You’ve got a great hubby there. If you both support each other like that, you can cope with anything. I’m blessed too, I’ve got one just like him.
