Hello!

I always thought i am really careful with my 10 months old daughter but sometimes when you turn away for 1 minute, literally one minute, accidents do happen. And very easily! especiall when they are at the age where they starts to get really mobile and when you think Oh they still can’t reach that high up yet, oh they are not strong enough to climb that etc.
One time, I went to the kitchen to wash up some dishes and left little Phoebe playing in a corner by herself. it was only a few seconds later i heard her choking on a piece of paper. She vomited and gagged everything out at the end but that was enough to scare my soul away.

  • I feel your pain! Everytime I use the bathroom I leave the door open so I can see what my little one is doing when I’m home alone with her. It’s hard because they’re at the stage where they’re curious about everything!!!

  • It doesn’t take much when they are little and it is so scary. And it doesn’t get better – always reminding myself that ‘she is taller than you think’ to try to keep everything out of reach.

  • That’s very scary! Lucky she managed to throw it up! That’s why knowing first aid is so important when you are looking after a child I guess! They put absolutely everything in their mouths!

  • Jeepers a bit of paper. Goes to show just how easily things can happen. A friend of mines daughter found a tic and put it up her nose and had to be taken to hospital and she was a bit older as well. In another incident she ate one of those freshness sachets that come with handbags and food etc.
