Hello!

I don’t have school aged kids ( yet) so I don’t often drive at school time – I try to avoid it.

This morning I had to go out, right on school drop off time. I was horrified and appalled at some mother’s behaviour on the roads!

Seeing as how there are so many Mums on this website, I am sure some of you behave this way (although I hope not!) And maybe I can get the message through.

I watched mmothers with kids in the car tailgate. Spped. Talking on phones. Worse – SMS’ing on their phones. Double parking. Not giving way at round abouts. Speeding through school zones.

How on earth can you justify risking your kids in this way???

Did you know talking on your phone while driving is actually worse on concentration than drink driving?

ask yourself this -you may be such a busy mum, and so much on your plate, and rushing to get kids where they need to be, and shopping done etc, BUT is that phone call really worth your childs life?

Picture yourself in court, explaining to another mother that their child is dead beacuse you had to arrange a coffee date with the girls.

Is speeding through the red light really going to get you there much quicker?

How does sitting on the car in fronts rear end help?

Sorry if I am raving, but I just cannot stand to see these people risking their lives, their kids lives, the lives of strangers, and for what?

  • Yep! Some of the driving around School’s by parents is horrible. I hate it when I’m doing 40 in the 40 zone and someone comes speeding up behind you, then tail gates you and then turns into the School!
