Hello!

I am really starting to lose hope that i will ever have a child.
Currently seeking fertility treatment but constantly failing.
This is making me so depressed.
All my friends have newborns.
I am so alone. Do i deserve this punishment?? My life feels like a massive punishment.

  • Hope things have changed for you. My sister has done 8 rounds of IVF and went to Sth Africa for IVF 3 times using donor eggs. At 45 years old she has just given birth to my beautiful niece. Don’t give up hope.

    • It is so hard when all your friends are having babies and you are struggling to get pregnant. Try and keep positive. Hoping you get pregnant soon!

  • This is so hard. One of my friends had triplets while I was struggling to conceive my first. It feels so unfair.

  • Never loose hope! 6 years ago who thought we would never be parents after multiple miscarriages. We’ve been blessed with 2 beautiful children since. Wishing you the best!

  • I’m sorry that you feel like you are being punished – it really must feel that way. I have many friends who have had a lot of difficulty conceiving who are now Mums, and I hope that can be you too.

  • Please seek some immediate support as you have written that you are depressed. Please see your GP; your GP can give you help and support and link you with other people experiencing the same thing. Infertility is terribly difficult and emotional and you do need support with your struggle. Many people have walked in your shoes; even though it can feel so terribly isolating. Do positive things; eat well and exercise as it will make you feel better. Hold on to your hope. Wishing you the best. :)

  • Hi, don’t give up hope, we all must have something to pin our dreams and wishes on. Even if you can not fall yourself their are so many other wonderful options for giving a child a home. My daughter is in her mid thirties and has no partner or boyfriend (and yes NO child) but it does not worry her, she is free to do as she pleases and is happy, so I am happy also. Life will work it’s own way out and in the mean time have fun, enjoy life and if you take your mind off worrying and focusing on a bub, that maybe just what your body needs to fall naturally. LOVE and Hugs and best wishes sent your way. :-)

  • Dear Anonymous,
My heart breaks a little bit reading your words. I can’t tell you what your future holds, but I can empathise with your pain. I remember thinking exactly your thoughts and when my friends would tell me that they were pregnant, it would hurt so much that it was a physical pain. After many years and invasive fertility treatment, I was lucky enough to hold a baby of my own and I really hope the same for you. Sometimes it’s hard to hold onto hope during those dark days, but sometimes it’s all we have (apart from each other). I wish you nothing but happiness and hope anonymous. I hope we hear your happy ending soon….
