Our favourite TV show dad, the charming Bandit Heeler, from Bluey has been named as Father of the Year for 2019.
It’s no surprise that Bandit received a large amount of nominations for the award hosted by the Shepherd Centre, an organisation for hearing-impaired children.
Bluey’s dad received the accolade “for his role as a kind and hard-working father for Bluey and the Heeler family.”
“This award is testament to Bandit as he tries his best to be a worthy role model to his kids,” said Joe Brumm, a co-writer and creator of the show.
Quirky Fun
We love how the Queensland Blue Heeler is always playing the most fun and often quirky games with his daughter pups Bluey and Bingo. Although he has a job, he always makes time for his girls.
Bandit was awarded Father Of The Year in the Canine category, while ten time water-ski champion and Channel 7 presenter, Mark Beretta, was awarded Australian Father of the Year 2019. Former NSW Police Force officer, Peter Smart was named Community Father of the Year 2019.
