Hello!

A double bundle of baby girl joy is twice as much fun and happiness, but there’s also twice as much pressure when you’re looking for the perfect twin girl names!

Finding the sweetest, perfectly paired twin girl names is a journey, and takes a bit of research and planning – pretty much like choosing any baby name, but just multiplied by two! And there are a few things to consider when naming your twins.

Should Twin Girl Names Be Matchy-Matchy?

It’s completely up to you. Back in the day, it was the done thing to name twins with matching monikers – like Milly and Molly. And some parents still love doing this. Or there are those who like to use the same first letter for each name. You can also team with a theme – both nature-based or botanical names like Rose and Lilly, or Summer and Rain.

You can also use the same letter for both names, like Kiana and Akina or Heaven and Neveah.

“My advice as a teacher…Don’t give them names that rhyme, start with the same letter or sound similar. It’s too hard for everyone to get to know them personally rather than as a collective. They will be individuals and deserve to be respected as such.” – Kayla, MoM Member

While everyone has an opinion, in the end their your little ones, so go with names that you love and adore.

We asked our Mouths of Mums community to help us find the most unique and beautiful twin girl names, and they came up with a huge list of ideas, which you can find here on the Mouths of Mums Facebook Page. And we’ve compiled some of our favourites in a list below.
