"We are both over the moon"

Everyone’s favourite Blockheads made a very special announcement over the weekend.

Bec and George Douros, who took part in not one, but two series of Channel 9’s The Block, took to social media yesterday to share some lovely news with their legion of fans.

Posting on Instagram, the couple shared this gorgeous photo with the caption:

“We will be welcoming a special addition to our family this October… Yep we are having a BABY and we are both over the moon #excited #nervous #nextchapter #babybecorgeorge @theblock9 @becdouros”

The couple planned to start a family much earlier in their relationship, however the passing of Bec’s mum Rosa in 2013 put the idea on the back burner.

‘After losing my mum I just needed some time, but it’s definitely on the cards…’ the 27-year-old revealed to New Idea.

Expecting every new baby is exciting, but I think expecting your very first baby has that extra special anticipation (equalled only by expecting your first grandchild, maybe). Congrats to Bec and George.
