  • Great ideas anything to make car rides easier. I saw a play idea for longer trips of some baking tray with cars etc stuck to magnets that can be pushed around the tray.

  • Snacks, entertainment and storage. We had a caddy on the back of my son’s seat so he could reach things, plenty of snacks on long and small trips, and all sorts of entertainment options eg. music, books, toys, depending on his age.

  • For babies and toddlers use a drink container that they have to suck to get the drink, not one that will leak it dropped, thrown, or tipped upside down. Beware a baby bottles will drip, pop tops will leak if the top is not pushed down especially if the bottle is squeezed. ggrrr!!! Sugary ones – plus foods may attract ants if the car is parked for long enough. Milk will go sour and smell terrible. Empty drink containers may go mouldy if not washed. Yes I found some in somebody’s car and on the floor in their garage. you can use a hook to “attach” an old shopping bag or rubbish bag to put rubbish in and later empty or replace the bag. Don’t use lage bins. If you have to brake suddenly unfortunately have an accident it can become a flying object causing injury to people. If you have a dog in the car the safest place is on the floor in the front passenger’s side. They are less like to be thrown about. It is also the method used for guide dogs even if the vision impaired are sitting in the rear seat of the vehicle.
