Sore feet? Tight or slippery shoes? Look no further, check out these brilliant foot and shoe hacks that will keep you on your feet!

  1. Rub sandpaper on the soles of new shoes if they are slippery.                   
  2. If your shoes are too tight, put on thick socks and use a hairdryer to heat them up which will stretch the leather.
  3. Tape your second and third toes together if wearing high heels, this helps take the pressure off the ball of your foot.                                                                                                     
  4. Keep patent shoes shiny using window cleaner or Vaseline.                     
  5. Waterproof your canvas shoes by rubbing beeswax into canvas.                      
  6. Roll on deodorant can stop rubbing and blisters.                                    
  7. Remove water stains from leather using a toothbrush and vinegar!       
  8. Remove stains or scratches from suede using a nail file.                    
  9. Use wine bottles to store your tall boots neatly.                                                      
  10. Soothe tired feet with a warm black tea soak and using a tennis ball to massage them.

  • If…..genuine….. leather shoes are a bit tight you can have them stretched.
    There is a neutral colour waterproof cream you can apply to your shoes. The colour of it doesn’t show on your shoes.

    I would add that, to dry your wet shoes, you could scrunch up some dry newspaper and stuff it inside your shoes.
    If you want to stretch some shoes, you could scrunch up some wet newspaper and stuff it inside your shoes.
