Hello!

Learning colour recognition at home doesn’t have to be expensive, most people have these things laying around. Just laminate and play. I hope your children enjoy this as much as mine do.

Material

  • 20 Paint sample cards
  • 2 Sheets Laminate
  • 20 Wooden pegs and glue

Method

  1. Laminate your paint sample cards.
  2. Cut matching color strips and glue to wooden pegs.
  3. Show your child how to match the right peg colour to the laminate sheet and peg it on!

Notes

Two and a half year old DD (Dear Daughter) recognises 12 shapes perfectly. She has had Montessori based teaching now for a year or so.

    • Sorry to hear about that. There are similar activities with textures on pegs that you could try to look up? If you need help let me know.
