Hello!

Perfect for those chilly winter days or even a nice picnic throw for a Summer’s day.

Material

  • 5 balls Colour A (of choice) I used Moda Range from Spotlight
  • 5 balls Colour B
  • 5 balls Colour C
  • 5 balls Colour D
  • 5 balls Colour E
  • 1 Hook sz 4.5

Method

  1. Make a chain to measure 80cm Colour A. Treble into second Treble from the end. Continue Treble till the last chain. Make three chains on top of last Treble. Turn and begin next row. Do this till the rows measures 80cm. Join Colour B and do the same till the whole rows measure 110cm. Join Colour C. Crochet till rows measure 120cm. Join colour D to make rows measure 150cm.
  2. Take Colour E and make the same length of chain as per step 1. Make the rows till they measure 50cm. Take colour C and join. Make rows to measure 70cm. Join Colour A make rows to measure 100cm. Join colour B to make rows to measure 135cm. Join Colour A again to measure 150cm
  3. Continue changing colours into patterns to make your rug bright and happy. Finish by joining lengths together and by edging the rug. I used Treble x5 into every third chain on the edge. Make two chains. Treble into third from last group and do the same till you reach the end. And then you have made yourself your very own Happy Colour Throw!

Notes

I made this for my Fiance as a gift for sleeping on the couch so I could get sleep while my daughter was a newborn. He snored, but, at least he was comfortable. He loves it. It's big enough for four people to snuggle up underneath in Winter and watch a good movie.
