Both a really pretty art activities and sensory ice play/smash!


Material

  • Flowers
  • Water
  • Cake Tin

Method

  1. Forage for some pretty flowers.
  2. Add them to the cake tin.
  3. Add water to cover the flowers.
  4. Freeze.
  5. Once frozen remove from cake tin. Hold up to the sun to see all of the pretty flowers.
  6. As an added step once it starts to melt give your child a small hammer to crush the ice!

  • Ohhh this just gave me an idea for my son’s birthday party games…. I have 2 kids in summer which smashing some ice stuff for “fun stuff” is such a great idea…. and won’t hurt the hip pocket either
