Asher Keddie is about to learn all about the mum versus work juggling act.

Asher recently opened up about her return to the set after spending time at home with her bub, Valentino, who is about to turn one.

“I’m just getting myself ready and preparing mentally and making the psychological shift from a really long hiatus,” Asher told Sydney Morning Herald.

“It’s been two years that I haven’t worked, so I feel really energised and really ready to come back.”

“It’s been fantastic with the baby, I love it. He is going to come with me, so I’m going to have him while at work.”

We can’t wait for Offspring to return!

  • I love Asher….I really miss Offspring

  • Think that that is the ideal child/work workplace – so much easier as an actor than a bank teller.

  • Can’t wait for Nina to come back! Who is the older chikd in the pictures?

  • The logistics of returning to work can be overshadowed by the emotions of the change in routine. It is fantastic that Asher has the opportunity to take baby with her to work. It is a challenge to find that happy balance.

  • It’s not easy for anyone.

  • We can’t wait to see you back on our screens. I imagine you’ll handle the juggle just fine with a cast and crew happy to spend time with your son. You played the Mother part so well previously, so it will be interesting to see if you bring anything different to the part now you’re a real-life Mum.

    • yeah this gives her a great first hand training for the role :) she does nina well!

  • I don’t know Asher Keddie, but I’m glad she could stay home for a bit with her bub. Hope her bub doesn’t get bored when being taken to mums job !

  • That’s pretty great she’ll be able to take her bub to work… It would make returning while they’re young pretty handy particularly if breastfeeding. Although a nanny or someone to help out would still be needed…

  • Yay!! Offspring is coming back! Plus Asher and her baby look just gorgeous. I was fortunate enough to not return to work until my oldest ‘baby’ was 9 1/2 years old- and I’m now loving every minute of my job. I’m not sure how I would have coped working when my boys were very young, especially since my husband was often away for work. I think all Mothers who juggle the work/baby balance are just awesome.

  • Lovely photos and I wish her well in her work/home juggle. It’s hard but she will be able to do it easier than a lot of other working mothers.

  • I can’t wait for offspring either. It’s not easy working and being mum but worth it.

    • Definitely worth it and such a good journey too.

  • She will certainly have a different mother experience once back at work.
