Want to teach your children about perseverance and dealing with consequences? Here is a super fun story that can help.

10 lucky MoMs will each win a copy of The Adventures of Triz the Babysitter by Haydn & Damien Crespan (Valued at $19.99 each).

Set in pre-historic times, Triz is the story of a small flying lizard. Entrusted by his good friend Marjorie, to babysit her unhatched egg for the day, things don’t quite go quite as planned. Faced with challenge after challenge and staring death in the face at every turn, does he give up? Not a chance….

About The Author and Illustrator

Damien born in Townsville and Haydn in Mt Isa, these Queensland brothers have endured some significant challenges throughout their lives. Born with Asperger’s syndrome, these boys have had to deal with much adversity. They have however, been truly gifted with the ability to illustrate and write, with Damien also having the added challenge of being colour blind. Currently working as a freelance artist, Damien is also collaborating with his brother on an eight-part series for television. Signed with Agency 888, Haydn is currently working as an actor and also writes children’s stories in his spare time.

This debut book from brothers Damien and Hayden Crespan shows their personal connection with the character Triz. Triz was created to represent the Crespan brothers own perseverance in dealing with the many challenges that their disabilities have presented them with. They feel this character and his journey should be a solid example of how, no matter what life throws at you, if you persevere and can accept that sometimes you may fail and you are prepared to face the music, and learn from your mistakes, you will succeed.
