This October, Tetley is proudly supporting Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) to help spark meaningful conversations about breast cancer, one cup of tea at a time. And to help start the conversation, we’re giving two Mouths of Mums members the chance to win beautiful tea packs worth $250 each.

Every day in Australia, 58 people are diagnosed with breast cancer, and nine Australians lose their lives to the disease. While these numbers are confronting, open conversations about symptoms, screening, and support can make a real difference.

That’s why Tetley has launched The Uncomfortable Cup campaign, encouraging Australians to turn something as simple as sharing a cup into what could be a life-changing chat.

As part of the campaign, Tetley is donating 5 cents from every limited-edition pink pack of Tetley Tea Cup 100s sold to BCNA. Funds raised will help ensure that every Australian affected by breast cancer has access to BCNA’s trusted information, support services, and advocacy.

To celebrate this important initiative, Mouths of Mums is giving you the chance to win one of two Tetley special kits, valued at $250 each, so you can take a moment to pause, pour a cuppa, and connect with someone you care about.

Each box includes:

  • Two hand-crafted cups by ceramicist Alex Draper of MUDSmith (valued at $90 each)
  • A selection of Tetley teas, including the limited-edition Pink Lady BCNA Tea, Green Tea, Extra Strong, Classic Chai Latte, and Decaf Green Tea
  • A self-examination leaflet encouraging women to take proactive steps in their breast health

Please note this competition is open from 15th October 2025 until 15th November 2025 and is only available to members of Mouths Of Mums. • Because Love and enjoy my tea.
As a busy mum there is nothing more satisfying than having a quiet moment to yourself to enjoy a relaxing tea. Sometimes its the simple things like taking a moment with some tea is all we need to reset so we can tackle the rest.

  • Raised as Tetley kids (from teapot bags to teabags) from Grandma nearly five generations now. There’s nothing a great Tetley cuppa and a chat can’t help resolve. A delightful treat to enjoy whilst educating the teens on breast health (every gender included, even if I get the pronouns wrong occasionally).

  • I’d love to gift to my grandma. Her mother passed from breast cancer and I feel it would be a nice way to remember and honour my great grandmother.

  • I’d love to gift to my grandma. Her mother passed from breast cancer and I feel it would be a nice way to remember and honour my great grandmother.

  • What a great initiative the uncomfortable cup.
Get talking girls and boys and get over the stigma of talking about boobs.
I would love to win to help spread the world and let all my friend,my social groups why i won this prize .

  • Mum said everything feels better after a cup of tea and if you can’t sleep at night get up, have a cup of tea then go back to bed, Sadly Mum died of cancer but our family gathers regularly for what Mum always said her ‘convivial’ family catch ups.

  • I’d love to promote these products at my work to start the conversations on self checks.

  • Cancer runs severely in our family history and we no longer regard it as a taboo subject. This is a great way to start the conversation with friends on how important it is to keep up checks and look after yourself.

  • My Sister has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, has had a double mastectomy and currently undergoing chemotherapy. I am thankful that she is one of the ‘lucky’ ones and we continue to have each other in our journey of life. I love the ‘uncomfortable cup’ concept – it is a much-needed topic to be discussed by everyone.

  • I got scared once with breast cancer and I feel winning these would be a great support.

  • I have had breast cancer twice – once in 2005 & a much worse dose in 2024 – my Mum had a double masectomy & died from breast cancer when I was 17 so this disease has always paid a huge part in my life. I am now 73. I am a huge tea & coffee drinker & have no spare $$ for things like hand crafted pottery or even some of the extra special Tetley teas. I usually buy home brand teas & coffees.

  • Having lost my mum and stepmother to this terrible disease and being lucky to have caught it early myself over 20 years ago and monitoring closely since….talking, supporting and sharing our experiences may help others to take action.

  • I am very passionate about women’s health and encourage people to health check, as early detection goes a long way for successful treatment and of course love drinking tea

  • My dad was diagnosed around his 77th birthday with breast cancer. Unusual for men and men of his age. I would love to use these mugs as discussion starters, at home, and at work to keep men’s breast cancer with a spotlight on it.

  • I love to try different types of tea, the ceramic mug is gorgeous and most of all I’d love the handy hints on hire to check your breast as I’m always unsure I’m doing it correctly

  • I would love to win this prize as I believe we need to talk more about Breast Cancer. I am 42 and recently had my first mammogram, which I was not aware I should be doing in my 40’s. My husband unfortunately lost his Mum to breast cancer when he was 7, so this topic hits close to home for us.

  • They are very stylish and look great when entertaining friends .

  • As someone who has had a scare this year this would mean a lot to me
I have changed my lifestyle and now drinking more tea and really starting to check myself more regularly than before

  • I love tea so does my daughter I’d love to enjoy a hot cup of tea together with these beautiful mugs.

  • A hot cuppa is my fave way to relax and unwind!
